PO Header Text is mandatory when using new plant created with reference to old plant (ECC6.0)

Hi gurus, I have this issue when migrating Open PO.

In the old PO with old plant A, 1 of the header text field is not mandatory. But when I tried migrating to new PO (new plant B created with reference plant A), SAP is throwing message that header text is required.

This only happens to some of the POs being created. e.g. some POs can be successfully created with blank header text but some are asking to fill in the header text.

If you talk about error messages then it is best practice to post this message that you get along with its message number.

As there is no such feature of mandatory header text in standard SAP you have to look for BADIs and exits, best you do that with transaction ANST (see this blog https://blogs.sap.com/2014/01/07/what-is-anstand-why-arent-you-using-it/ )

Hi,

Based on your input, it looks like even in old plant based on some condition some enhancement is written (Either BADI / User Exit). Check all your user exit or badis which are used for purchase order.
