Delete Business Partner

Hi Experts,

I have a problem that i want to delete a Business partner from the production server .I archive this Business partner but it is showing when i make search of this Business partner with the archive status, But I want that it will not show at that time .

Any body please inform me how to delete the BP.

    Hi,

    use BUPA_DEL to delete BP, although it is not advisable to delete them, since u will face more issues if these BP's are attached to each other through relationships, and if they have been used in some transaction documents.

    In that case u need to first delete those relationships maintained for those BP's.

    mean u have to delete all the dependencies. Then u will be able to delete the BP freely.

      Hi AS,

      Thanx for ur reply i try BUPA_DEL and type the number of business partner and first i click on 'test and check 'option then it shows can be deleted .but when i click on rest of two option then it shows the msg 'no business partner deleted'.

    First the BP has not having open transactions

    Remove all Relationships

    Keep the BP Archive

    Then use tcode BUPA_DEL

      Hi,

      You should follow the following process:

      First check the BP has not having open transactions

      Remove all Relationships

      Maintain the BP Archive flage

      First execute BUPA_DEL only with 'Test Run' flag and ensure that the message is coming as 'BP can be deleted'.

      Then execute BUPA_DEL for the selected business partner without selecting any of the flags (i.e. 'Only System status deleted' flag should not be selected).

      Please also check that the user id that you are using in production environment is having the sufficient delete authorisation.
