Why do you want to use an UDF? Are you using content conversion? If so you couldn't you use the document offset parameter in the file sender adapter to eliminate N lines of your document. Check out the documentation.

Use document offset(with value as 6) property in FCC to skip the first 6 lines

Hi Manohar!

And how would you use UDF in graphical mapping for the source text file?

Hi Manohar!

I guess you didn't catch the meaning of my question. UDFs are to be used in graphical mappings. Graphical mapping expects XML structure as source payload. So what way do you want to use graphical mapping with UDF having the flat file as source payload?

Frederick-Claud has already answered to your question in the comment above.

Hello Manohar,

if you would have provided us with the information that you're running the scenario ontop of SAP CP I could have answered you earlier, that you should look into Groovy or JavaScript scripting based on your programming preferences. If you need more information on how to use these technologies you should check out the following documentation as starting point. In addition to that I'd advise you to read the following blog.
