How RSMO Show Time Spent on Each Step during the ETL Process

Former Member

Dear all,

It is mentioned in many documents that RSMO should be able to provide all necessary information on time spent in different processes during the data load (such as extraction time, transfer, posting to PSA, processing transformation rules, writing to fact tables). But I seem can only see a total time value for the entire process from the Header tab. I can see different steps in the Details tab but cannot see any time value for each of them. Have I missed or messed up something?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,

Joshua Z.

Dear Zhang,

Detailed information can be obtained in RSMO.

Go to Details tab in RSMO,

Go to the lowest drill down u can,,and once if u click on that one ..u will get all the detailed info in the footer row along with details of

1.Date.

2.Time.

3.Description.

For ex: click on requests drill down and u find Data Request arranged and Confirmed with Ok.

Now click on Data Reuest arranged,,

and u wii find the corresponding Date, Time and Description in the footer row.

Hope this helps u,,

Assign Points if helpful,,

Best Regards,

Hi,

As mentioned in the documents you get all details in the Details tab of RSMO.

From the Details tab of RSMO, Expand each of the nodes and click on the Information. The moment you do this below you can see the date and time.

For Eg: When you expand the "Extraction" node, the first Information you get is "Data request received". Now click on this and note the date and time.

The last information available on this node would be "Data selection ended". Now click on this and note the date and time. The difference in these two values gives the time taken for Extraction.

The same applies for other nodes also.

I hope this clears your doubt.
