Broadcasting Wizard not available to send email in one query

Hi Team,

I am working with some queries integration in the portal, but I have a problem, when I access to the portal and open one query and execute it and select the distribution option by email i can´t see the wizard template, just appear the bex template.

Someone know what is the problem and why appear the bex template and not the broadcast wizard template to distribute the query by email.

did you try the option Broadcasting..

execute ur query

in the query result put ur cursor

right click and select Broadcasting

in that chooose theoption of Information Broadcasting

then it will give you a wizard where u can set the precalculation of queries and set up the distribution of query result in email , excel etc....

choose that precalculation server, information broadcasting etc has been set up at your company...

u dont have to run the query all the time in order to send the query result in distribution by email and so

this process is called information broadcasating

Leslie, where did you make these changes?

I am experiencing the same problem as you, and am not sure exactly where to make the changes you suggest.

If I run a template from the WAD, I get the problem of not being able to see the email wizard, so this is bypassing the portal surely (2004s system). Also, my iviews in portal use the SAP_LocalSystem, which is a virtual host, and not any of the systems I have created under SystemLandscape.

Hi,

The parameters that I have to change were in the System in the BI Portal Conector, you have to select the Properties Option of your System and Review the Port Numbers of you ITS Server and WEBAs Server.

The problem that I had in the properties were the port i had writen the 8100 an the correcto port was the 8000.

Thanks for that ... seems our problem was something completely different.

In our case there was a parameter ms/redirect_version which had to be set to 1 ... fortunately OSS were able to resolve quite quickly.

Hi Leslie,

It may be becoz u may not have authorisation for that.

If you want to distribute the broadcast setting immediately, the system uses the authorizations and settings for the current user that has logged on to the system and has defined the broadcast setting when generating the document.

Request ur Basis team to provide you the required authorisations to use Infomation Broadcasting features of BI.

I hope this clears ur doubt.

I have to change some parameters value in the BI Connector, this values where the ITS Host name and Port and WEB AS Host Name and Port, the value that i had assigned was wrong because i had the port 8100 and the correct port is the 8000.
