I would like to stop creation of Purchase Inforecord while creating Purchase Order for which info record does not exist , system create info record without site if you do not change the info update indicator in the PO to " B" , is it possible to stop creation of inforecord without site ? without maintaining the user default ?
Yes, you can stop updating the inforecord
go to SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Environment Data-Define Default Values for Buyers
In this step, copy the 01 to blank defult value and remove the indicator in the field purchase order on indicators tab then save it and go to SU3 transaction and assign Parameter id = EVO and value is blank then next time onward when you create the PO you will see the info update indicator is blank
2. We are using Generic article but when user try to create a purchase order for a variant directly system automatically create a info record for the variant . Any user exit or config available for stopping creation of info recors at variant level.
I think the above soultion will stop this also but not sure because never work with variant
