Rules are getting deleted when activating the transformation

Hi Experts,

I am facing one strange issue while creating the transfromation between datasource and Cube.When i am mapping the fields and doing activation its says the particular rule has deleted.

I am facing the same issues with so many fields as soon as i do the mapping for 50 fields and do the activation for all it deletes the 13-14 rules automatically............i dont know why its happening its says the mssg "source field /target field has been deleted".................

Does any one know its solution then kindly let me know.........its urgent.................

Hi,

if your transformation works fine in the first time after changing something in the transformation only if you are facing the problem means, please delete the DTP before changing the transformation then do your changes. atlast create the DTP. check for it.

i also faced such situation in my work.if u r creating first time trasformation for that perticular it wont give any problems,once u created and going to make changes for that it will give problem.its a burg in BI,

So delete the entair transformation and recreate u t new transformation.then u r problem can solves

BI7 is not yet stable when it comes to creating transformation. I had also faced this issue many times in BI7 while working on different projects.

You need to be very careful while creating/activating/modifying it.

Pls verify following ---

1. You have made the unneccessary fields hidden in the datasource.

2. Create complete transformation & then save & activate it to avoid the problem.

Thanks for your reply.I did the same as you told like frst i have created all the rules and then tried to activate it.But still its having the same issues.Its not allowing me to activate the transformation its saying '"This particular rule has deleted as source and target field has deleted".
