Restricting F4 help values to the values in InfoProvider

Hi,

I am using BW 3.5.

1. In my query I have restricted 5 characteristics with variables. The system prompts for values for these variables while running the query. In those variables F4 help I could see all the values from Master data. I would like to show only the data in the infoprovider in the F4 help. How can I do this in 3.5?

2. Can I publish a view to a Role?? or only Workbooks & queries can be published?

    Goto RSA1 and double click on your infoobject

    From the Business Explorer tab for the option Query Def. Filter Value Selection select Only values in Infoprovider.

    This should solve your first problem.

      Can you elaborate your 2nd question?

      For the 1sy question can you also make this setting InfoProvider specific,

      If it is an ODS then double ODS, right click IO and select object specific properties

      OR

      For the cube double click the cube, from the menu select, extras -> structure specific properties

      OR

      In BI 7 this setting can be done directly in the query designer in the properties of the IO
