Functional difference between MDM and Classification View

Hi All,

Classification view in MM also provides hierarchical structure same as MDM. Can someone suggest when we can decide to use MDM and when Classification view and what will be the future when EDM comes in picture

Hello Suman,

Transactional systems will continue to use Classification view to run the transactions.

Master data will be managed (create, change, delete) centrally in MDM (thats the purpose and use of MDM).
