    Dear Sameer,

The purpose of CIN and procedure MAP to SAP is

In India we have lot of tax procedures available based on the geographycal area.

Based on the where the Manufacturing unit is situated and to whome (Customer)we are going to supply the Material, the tax(Local Sales tax ,Cetral sales tax,Excise duty,Education cess ..etc) rate will be apllicable.

So to get the tax rates according to the specified norms given by the Indian Govt, the CIN procedure sujusted by the SAP Company that is purpose to use CIN in the SAP.

I hope it will clear for you

    Regards,

    Murali.
