J2SDK Version

Hi...

I want to download the java version for NETWEAVER 7.0 on windows 2003 on SQL Server 2005 and i gone through the installtion guid but it isnt mentioned version..

Please guid me in this regards..

Hai,

Download the correct J2SDK version related to your harware(Intel or AMD) and also check whether 64bit or 32 bit and accordingly download the java version from the sunsite

Hi Venkata,

i am facing some problem in findout the correct version on AMD 64 Bit on Windows 2003 on SQL Server.

The error is...

The JDK installed in directory C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_05 has version 1.6.0_05. The SAP software is validated for versions less then 1.5.0_00 only.

You can use a JDK with version 1.5.0_00 or higher at your own risk. SAP recommends that you use a JDK with a minimum version 1.4.2_09 but lower than version 1.5.0_00.

You can select a different JDK by choosing Ok. If you want to go on with this JDK, choose Cancel.

even I tryed to install the 1.4.2_09 but couldnt find right version on AMD 64 bit

Please help me in this regards,

Hi Raj,

The version should be j2sdk1.4.2_12-x64. We have the same hardware as yours. Sap would not work on higher version as 1.6 or so.

Hi Jaun ,

I am also facing similar issue, i trying to install Solution Manager using SR3, on X_64

i have installed j2sdk-1_4_2_17-windows-i586-p , which was installed successfully, when i run sapinst to install, it ask for the path , when i give the path , it says , could not support 64 bit, use another j2sdk.

please let me know from where to download correct j2sdk for X64 processor,

did you solve your Problem?

i suppose you shouldn't use the j2sdk-1_4_2_17-windows-i586-p.exe.

Did you try the j2sdk-1_4_2_17-windows-ia64.exe?

edit:

and did you insert jsdk-directory in the JAVA_HOME system variable?
