Good afternoon,

We get the following error message when running a BW query in Analysis for Office. When running the same query in Bex it works fine.

"Invalid terms in condition <condition name> have been removed"

This happens for only one user and only on her laptop. When she uses her credentials on my laptop, the same queries run without any problems. When using my credentials on her laptop, it gives errors.

She is using A4O 2.5 SP2 Patch 1

Windows 10 Pro

64 Bit

Please help.

Thanks,

Haidee

What is the difference between your laptop and her laptop?

Only one related item I could find: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2018643

Thanks for the info Tammy.

Unfortunately I cannot even find the folder mentioned in the sap note. :-(

I'm at a complete loss as to where to search more.

Hi - it would be on the server; do you have a BI admin who could take a look at the note? I am sorry for the trouble.

Another idea is to update Analysis Office to 2.6

Hi Tammy,

I have access to the server and also did not find that file there....will have a quick look again just to make sure though.

I've also now received a list of all installed programs from the user, to compare with my own.

Will go through all this and post back what I find.

Thanks,

Haidee

Hi Tammy,

I've noticed now that she doesn't have Java on her laptop installed at all. Would this not have an impact on the application?

Thanks,

Haidee

That *could* be an issue; it is strange to have a laptop with no Java these days...

Hi Haidee. Did you ever find the cause behind this?

Hi Richard,

I've done a huge amount of testing, building VM's with different combinations of OS and Office versions. I did find that with the VM I built to replicate her OS and Office (Windows 10 Pro & office 2013 64 Bit) I had a lot of issues and could not get Analysis running any queries without errors.

In the end the customer have decided to format her laptop and reinstall. I am today waiting for feedback from her to see if she's now able to run queries.

I'll post here as soon as she lets me know.

Regards,

Haidee

Hi everybody,

Just to let you all know, we could not resolve this issue. The user's laptop was completely reformatted and after this, Analysis for Office is now working perfectly.

Thanks,
Haidee
