payment means tab

Hi all,

Does anyone know what setting governs which tab is opened first in the Payment Means window in an incoming payment? The default payment method for the BP we have is currently blank (and this should only affect the Payment Wizard runs anyway), but the system always populates the bank transfer tab with the full amount.

What do you mean 'We have is currently blank'?.

So far as i know, it will default to Cash tab.

Exactly - in our demo system it defaults to cash when there is no default incoming payment method. However, in this particular database, it will default to bank transfer regardless (and we have no formatted searches or custom configurations).

If you are using payment wizard, then you would have defined the payment method under banking setup. There the payment means would be setup as "Bank Transfer". That should be the reason!

Hi,

It seems to default to that tab in the Payment Means window which has been closed the last time. For Example If the last time it is closed with the Payment Means as Credit Card, the next time the Payment Means will open in Credit Card tab.

Hi Jitin,

I tested this and it seems that the system continuously reverts to Bank Transfer regardless of what payment means was chosen last time or which tab was active the last time the Payment Means window was closed. There are no formatted searches or custom configurations on the window itself. Any other ideas what this could be?

Can you please check if you have defaulted Bank Transfer G/L Account in the G/L determination window?
