Dear Team,
Am struck with below error in downtime phase of upgrade. here is the below error.
Return code condition success evaluated to false for process sapcontrol for action wait for started.
The following problem has occurred during step execution: com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DiagException: Could not check status of SAP instance with number 4.
Could not check if the instance number 4 on host equinox is started.
Sapcontrol client could not perform action wait for started on instance 4
Return code condition success evaluated to false for process sapcontrol for action wait for starte.
SAP note#2318596 i have checked all the required sap jvm parameters and components. everything looks good
anyone of you come across the same issue, please let me know.

no, i tried this as well but no luck. But after i spend lot of time on troubleshooting, i have created the jvm folder and copied the source sapjvm file and restarted SUM. it went fine.
here SUM is not able to switch the targeted sapjvm during downtime phase.

Can you refer to the below KBA's and check following the resolution steps solves your issue or not. In the symptom section it mentions the error excerpt that you have mentioned in your query
