    Example

    SPRO>>IMG>>Financial Accounting(New)>>Tools>>Archiving

You can delete and archive documents from the system which you no longer require in the online system. In the following activities, you specify the minimum number of days that an accounting document and the respective secondary indexes must be in the system before they can be archived. You can make this specification dependent on document type and account type.

    Note

To be able to delete and archive the account master data from the system, you must set the deletion indicator in the master record. Otherwise it is not necessary to make a Customizing setting for this.

This is just one example. There are many settings in SAP.

    Hi Meghana,

You can archive FInancial and Controlling related information from the objects like : FI_DOCUMNT,CO_ITEM,CO_TOTAL,EC_PCA_ITM,EC_PCA_SUM,COPA1_XXXX etc.

FIrst you should zero-in on the objects that u consider for archiving . This should be done on the type of data u should archive.

Later please ensure that you customise the objects based on your legal and business requirements in the t.code SARA and FILE.

you should also have a provision to store the archived fi/co documents.
