unable to run webynpro application without domain name in the url

Dear Friends,

I am unable to run the WebDynpro application with the below URL:

Link: [http://ld00:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/TutWD_FlightList_Init2/FlightListApp]

Where as I can run using below URL:

Link: [http://ld00.national.core.bbc.co.uk:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/TutWD_FlightList_Init2/FlightListApp]

Only domain name is missing in the url.

Some body suggested to update the hosts file at c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc folder, where we cannot do that.

Because of this, I cannot able to debug the application since it executes first url.

How can I resolve this problem.

I got the problem resolved.

In the Debug Configuration I changed the debug mode as default.

Yes, I gave the IP.

But while configuring the debug, it is taking ld00 as host name.

Have you tried with the ip of the system instead of ld00.national.core.bbc.co.uk

I already mentioned that, we are not authorized and not allowed to modify the hosts file.

Any other idea??

Hi ,

You can Update the entries ,

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc here select hosts

right click on hosts - open with note pad and maintain your portal entry with full domain name.
