SAP Enterprise portal slowness

Former Member

Dear Colleagues,

I am using Netweaver 7.02 and i am aware that SAP support is going to end this year. We are using "Internet Explorer 11". Our support pack is SP08 which is not a suitable version for IE11 and this should be SPS14 as per PAM.

We do creation of iViews, Pages, Roles, Worksets in our portal. In recent days, portal seems very slow only if we login with Admin users. When i open the portal with vendor IDs then everything seems to be fine.

I am in touch with SAP support and they are telling us to go to NW7.5. Anyway this is in our roadmap already.

Interesting thing is why the portal is slow only for admin IDs and that too in recent days! We are having this setup for almost 4 years. Also our Production server is working perfectly with the same version. Checked CPU utilization and server is 97% idle always.

Any suggestions from your side?

Regards,
Jegan Raj

Dear Jegan

Regarding the slowness of portal,

It could be that the application "com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin.mdc" is using for SSO for multiple domains

The same we can check in HTTP trace for "com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin.mdc" , You can follow the KBA 2204622 - Portal logon slow due to Multiple domain configurations ( https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2204622)

Thanks

Dear Manjunath,

Thanks for your reply. However I am not finding anything related to "com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin.mdc" in HTTP trace.

Also I created another test user with reference to my ID and I could see that it is working fine. Any guidance from your side?

Regards,
