Dinesh,

If you use SAP on UNIX (e.g. Solaris, AIX or HP-UX) or Linux then you need to use an SNC from a SAP partner, as SAP do not provide SNC libraries for these platforms. If you are using Active Directory as your authentication server, then I suggest you visit http://www.sap.com/eapcatalog and search for "Active Directory" to find a list of vendors who support this. You can also search for SNC to find a list of all partners who provide SNC solutions - some use Kerberos and some don't.

Thanks,

Tim

Dinesh,

I am not sure if I understand the wording of your reply. To be sure you are clear - you need to contact a vendor and buy a product to support Solaris since SAP only provide SNC libraries for SSO if SAP is on Windows Server.

First you need to find a company listed in the SAP Solution Catalog (I gave link in my last post) and then you can get them to provide you with the product and a price so you know how much it costs.

Thanks,

Tim

Dinesh,

Yes, correct.

As an example of one company, please take a look at [this website|http://www.cybersafe.com/d2] for a demonstration.

As I mentioned earlier, if you check the Solution Catalog and look for Active Directory you will find the vendors you should contact, and they can explain how their product works and how it compares to what you are using on Windows.

Thanks,

Tim
