Hi,

I copied user by logging in user: SAP* password:PASS

I copied user then created a password for my new user(that i've copied old user to this new one)

then i log off

Now i'm trying to log in with new user and new password that i created.

Then i was asked to change password.

I'd like to know why my old password couldn't be used and why do i have to create a new password?

Thank you

Hi,

The user you created uses default security policy and such users are asked to change password. You can read more about the security policies here

This is due to security policy. Usually, a system administrator is creating a temporary password that is used for the first login. Then the user has to change the password to his own - otherwise, the system administrator would also know it.
