0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER problem

Hi,

I have BW 3.5 system and there are two R/3 systems connected to it - System A and System B.

Currently extraction for COSTCENTER - Attributes, Texts and Hierarchies works fine from System A.

Now, I want to extract only COSTCENTER - Hierarchies from System B.

When I'm trying to assign 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER datasource from System B to 0COSTCENTER infosource, i'm able to save it but not able to activate it. While saving it asks me a transport request and under the transport request it comes under Object Directory Entry.

After transporting this to Test BW system, i'm unable to find Hierarchy Datasource for (Test)System B.

I also tried to collect this datasource under Transport connection > Datasource.

But even this transport request didn't work.

Am I missing any step? Is it compulsory to load Master data attributes and Texts from R/3 system if I want to load Hierarchies? Because we are planning to upload COSTCENTER Attributes and Texts through flat file and Hierarchies from R/3 system.

Thanks for ur reply.

I checked all OSS Notes and forum links you posted. But it didn't help much. Problem is i'm not able to transport my Cost center Hierarchy Datasource from Dev. BW to Test BW system.

For transporting this, I did try all options like -

1) Saving the Infosource with Datasource 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER

2) Manually collecting Datasources in transport connection.

When I check in my Test BW system, I'm not able to find 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER datasource connected to 0COSTCENTER Infosource.

0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER datasource is available and active in my R/3 Test system.

Once these datasources are available in Test BW system, i'm sure i will be able to extract hierarchies.

Please advise.

Yes, Datasource is replicated and is available in BW system.

So, the sequence which i followed was -

1) Connect 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER datasource to 0COSTCENTER Infosource in Dev. BW sys.

2) Replicate datasource 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER in Test BW sys.

3) Transport the request from BW Development to BW Test system.

Transport request was successful without any errors.

Result - Datasource assignment to Infosource is missing in BW Test system.

Hi Guys,

I got a solution to this...

I just Saved my infosource with connection to Hierarchy datasource in transportable data package.

Collected Transfer structure for Hierarchy datasource in a transport request.

Replicated data source in Test BW system to ensure datasource is available.

Transport request released to Test BW system.

Hierarchy Data source was available and active in Test BW system.

Loaded hierarchies successfully.

Collected objects in a transport request.

Make sure the data source is available in target BW system. If not,replicate it.
