Dear All Experts,

I am on a SD migration project and some help needed with cost migration.

we have a scenario here we have a sales order line item of 10 qty and the material is ordered via PO and done the GRN of 10 qty, now from SD side we have delivered 5 qty to customer for what so ever reason and 5 qty is open for delivery so now the order is partially delivered and we have to migrate this order as partial order my question is how to migrate the cost as the actual cost of 10 items coming from PO and delivered only 5 qty so for the remaining 5 qty how to migrate the cost

Thanks in advance

Sorry, I'm confused... What is the specific challenge you're facing? I don't see how the fact of delivery affects the cost. Cost of 5 items delivered should be the same as 5 open items, unless there are some undisclosed details such as packaging or currency fluctuations. What is the issue exactly and what have you tried so far?

We need to short close the line item and a create a new line item of the remaining open items, now the from GRN the actual cost hits the first line item already.

As you may be aware when you create a sale order, system would fetch the cost from material master to VPRS condition type and this value can either be Standard or Moving Average Price. If at all, you want to make some changes, explore MR21 functionality. For more information, have a look at OSS note 372772.
