PPDS Schedule with GAPS

Dear PPDS Experts,

PPDS Optimizer Or Schedule Sequence heuristic creating unnecessary GAPS in overall schedule , making plan infeasible.

For simplicity we have a very simple example where there are only 2 Orders. Each Order got 3 operation - 10 , 20 and 30 , each Operation got Setup and Production Activity. All Operation are getting scheduled in three different resources.

Attaching a sample of PPDS DS board , where after Optimization ( 100 % Makespan, 70 % Makespan - 30% Setup ) or any Heuristic creating GAPS in schedule. Just to inform there is no Raw material constraint , No Cross Order relationship etc.

Red arrow in this picture indicates that , there are still scope of compacting the schedule.

Need your expert guidance and comments please.
