Can you link a Lumira document via asp.net to update a table in a warehouse with user input?

Hello,

We currently have a Quikview dashboard that has a user input box where validation comments can be added, when a form button is clicked the contents of the comments box is sent via asp.net as a URL, which then has the data extracted from the URL to update a table in our warehouse. I was wondering if the same is possible using Lumira or another BO software?

In Lumira the only write-back I am aware of is when using planning - see https://blogs.sap.com/2017/11/20/lumira-2.0-for-application-developers-asug-webcast-qa/

Comments can be captured in Lumira Designer 2.1 but it uses commentary on the BI Platform and not the data warehouse - see https://blogs.sap.com/2017/12/17/trying-what-is-new-in-sap-lumira-designer-2.1/

Hi Tammy, thanks for your response.

We'd need to use the non-planning route.

How are these comments saved on the BI platform? Is it possible to save them to a BI file that could be uploaded into a warehouse and extracted in such a way that it updates the warehouse?

Hi Adam - I am not a technical BI platform expert; it might be worth asking this question under the BI platform tag. Interesting idea

Hi Adam,

Why not simply use the commentary functionality that is already built into Lumira 2.1?

Regards,

Mustafa.
