Hi Gurus

how to change exchange rate type in a company code? exchange rate type right now is euro how to make it to M. i have maintaing setting in OB08 still its picking exchange rate type euro

Hi,

please check your customizing settings under

Currencies

-> Define Translation Ratios for Currency Translation

Please check the relevant currency pair for exchange rate type M. I think that exchange rate type EURO is maintained in column alternative ERT.

But please do not delete the content of this field!!! You have to enter new entries with a valid from date in the future.

Hi,

Can you check what is the exchange rate type for foreign currency documents..

Hopefully they have given "M" in that particualr field thats what it is picking M rate..if you dont maintain any exchange rate type then it will pick average bydefault and if you maintain the exchange rate then system will pick the mentioned ex rate while document posting..

Hi Ajay,

Use menu path SPRO -> Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Company Code -> Multiple Currencies -> Define Additional Local Currencies. M is assigned here.

You cannot change M once there is transaction data posted in the company code unless you delete the data, which is not a good idea except under extraordinary circumstances.

What is the need to change it?. You can maintain M as well. Also not clear what "still its picking exchange rate type euro" means?. What are you trying to do?
