Asset Balances Are not tallying in Asset explorer

Hi Gurus

There is a differance between Asset & GL account .GL accounts are not tallying with the asset explorer.How can i find out the error.what should i do if the GL balance should tally with Assets.and the diffrence is exatly same as the depreciation for the year
