My requirement is stock type should always be quality stock by default for a particular doc type

how to configure it

Hi

Stock type in PO can only be defaulted from the Material master data.

By using a user exit you can fulfill the requirement of defualting the Stock type for a particular document type.

Use the enhancement MM06E005.

in the application tool bar in me21n goto personal setting in application toolbar then click on default values and select docu type and make changes in default values for particular field

Tick the check box of post to inspection stock ( Purchasing view )
