MD61 availability date change

Hi all,

I have an issue with changing the date of a planned independent requirements from MD61.

The requirement is to have the availability date at the end of the month.

I searched all (ALL) other discussions and I implemented the following, without result:

1. In t-code OMI4, set the short term scheduling to 2

2. In SPRO->Production->Planning->Demand management->Automatic split: defining distribution function, strategy, linking etc.

Does anyone know how this needs to be set up in Customizing or is it good idea to change the date in some user exit on 'Save' button?

Thanks a lot,

Goran

Hello Goram

All the Demand Management programs and transactions were developed considering the PIR data in the beginning of the period. Changing this date could lead to problems when creating, splitting or consuming PIRs, and SAP will not recommend this change.

Hi Caetano,

Thank you for the answer.

The suggested way above to change the date is followed from the following issue:

- if we use monthly planning in MD61, the quantity is calculated correctly and the date is at the start of the month, seen from MD04

start-of-month.png

- if we use daily planning in MD61, the quantity is increased even more (not correct) with date as specified, i.e. end of month, seen from MD04

end-of-month.png

Is there anything I can do to change this behavior? I need the quantity as is in the first of the month with date 31.01.2018.

The system is SAP S/4HANA 1610.

Thanks,

Goran

Hello

In the second screenshot the PIR is not being consumed by the sales order. Probably, it is outside the consumption horizon.

Hi Caetano,

In your opinion, is the behavior in both cases correct? Since the expectation is to have in the "end of the month" screenshot the same available quantity for the PIR as the one in the "start of the month".

Thank you very much for the reply and the comments,

Hi Goran

PIRs will only be consumed when they are within the consumption horizon. Make sure that your PIR at the end of the month is within the backward consumption horizon and the PIR should be consumed.

Hi Caetano,

The requirement is actually to have the PIR consumption only for the current month, having the PIR date at the last (working) day of the month. That's why I've been trying to change the customization to achieve this.

Could you please suggest to me a way of how I can do this?

Thanks,

Goran
