Can any one explain me the complete process involved in configuring :
Stock Categories.
Special stocks
Thanks
Hi,
Special stocks are stocks that are managed separately as a result of their not belonging to your company or being stored at a particular location. Special stocks types are divided into the following:
1.Consignment(K)
2.Returnable transport packaging(M)
3.Sales order stock(E)
4.Project stock(Q)
These special stocks can be allocated to three different stock types:
1.Unrestricted-use stock
2.Stock in quality inspection
3.Blocked Stock
You have to post all to special stocks Separate G/L account.
Stock Categories:
Stock Categories concept you may use, If material could potentially be kept in several types of stock the system will ask you to choose the stock, then you can assign the component. Not sure, but you have to use item category and if you want to drill down report, you can use General item category and General item category concept ( you can maintain in material master)
