Can the UI5 Rule Builder control be used with the Business Rules Cloud service?

Goal:

To be able to use the SAPUI5 Rule Builder control in applications in order to allow maintenance of rules hosted in the Business Rules Cloud Service. We would like to be able to embed the control in apps so that customers have access to maintain their own rules. The marketing material I have seen seems to imply this should be possible.

Problem:

It seems as though the Rule Builder control requires OData (rules and vocabulary services, per this tutorial) but the Business Rules Cloud service only offers a basic REST service as opposed to the full-fledged OData.

• Is there a way to enable OData support for the Cloud Business Rules offering to make this possible?
• Is there another way to achieve this that I may be overlooking?
• Is this a feature planned for the Business Rules Cloud Service that is still being worked on?

As the blog states, it was also addressed in the SAP TechED “CPL164 – An Application Developer’s Guide to SAP Cloud Platform Business Rules – Hands-on”.
