Hi
I installed SAP Netweaver 7.5 developer edition on my laptop's Linux Mint VM and It is working fine. Basically I want to receive and send IDOCs from my .Net application to SAP in order to satisfy my customer requirement. After browsing days on internet I came to know that SAP .Net Connector 3.0 can do this but the problem is I dont have a SAP marketplace ID to download SAP DotNet Connector. I don't have SAP administrator neither since I installed SAP myself. Please let me know is there any way to download SAP DotNet Connector without a Marketplace ID and also please tell me If I am doign anything wrong here.
Thanks in advance
Hello Ajith Ram,
If this is licensed product by SAP you might not able to download it ...
SAP Note 856863 for details about availability and platform requirements.
Thank you
Yogesh

I'm guessing by "installed SAP myself" you mean SAP GUI?
As correctly noted by Yogesh, licensed products can be downloaded only by the SAP customers with valid ID. The customer needs to either provide you with one or provide you with the software that they'd download for you.
This is not just SAP, the same would go for any other software that your customer requires.

There is a "developer edition" for NetWeaver 7.5 ABAP that is available for unlicensed download, legitimately from SAP. I think this is what Ajith has installed, so that he can work on his customer project on his laptop before connecting to their DEV (or whatever) system. It's understandable, but yes, the customer will need to provide the connector, just as you say.
Thanks Matt Fraser for understanding. That is exactly what I did and that is what my requirement. If customer give me the connector which has downloaded using their licence, will that work with my SAP installation ?
One more thing
Do we have to purchase a separate licence addition to the connector in order to send and receive IDOCs to/from SAP ?
SCN is not the right place for the licensing questions, I'm afraid. Any answers posted here do not represent legal advice.
I'd suggest to reach out to the client and arrange access to the software you need to complete your work. NWA developer edition comes with its own license agreement, please read it carefully. You probably can use it to prototype a solution or for a demo but as soon as you try to connect to another system or exchange data it's the whole other story.
There is a good "hub" blog on the developers edition, with links to other sources, might want to take a look: https://blogs.sap.com/2016/11/03/sap-nw-as-abap-750-sp02-developer-edition-to-download/
