Re-assign an object to another package

Hi guys,

I encountered a problem.

I have defined a structure in a package A days ago, Now I wanna transfer this certain

structure to another package B with the same name, just a transfer between packages.

As you know, the system dose not provide such a function.

I thought of a solution: find the table where Package field propertity of structure is stored,

and change table data directly via ABAP code, but it is so disappointing to me that seeking

the table is so difficult.

So I don't know how to do. Do you have any effective suggestions?

Thanks

    Try this.

    1. Select the required development object from the object list.

    2. Choose Other Functions àChange Package Assignment from the context menu.

The Reassign Object dialog box appears.

    3. Enter the name of the new package in the New Package field.

    4. Choose Continue to confirm your entries.

If the object has not already been assigned to a change request, you must enter a change request as well.

    5. Enter a valid change request and choose Continue.

    Hi ALEX,

    Use

You can reassign individual objects from one package to another. For example, you can create and test ABAP programs in your local private object list (package $TMP), and then reassign them to another package for transport.

    Procedure

You can change the assignment of an object in the Object Navigator as follows:

Select the required development object in the object list.

Choose Other Functions à Change Package Assignment from the context menus (right-click).

The Reassign Object dialog box appears.

Enter the name of the new package.

    Choose to confirm your entries.

If the object was not already assigned to a change request, you must enter a change request.

Enter a valid change request and choose .

    Result

The system adds the object to the change request and moves the object to the new package.

Kindly Reward Points If You Found The Reply Helpful,

    Cheers,

    Chaitanya.

Go to object navigator (SE80) and select your table

Alternatively, go to SE11 & display your table - then click display objject list icon (CtrlShiftF5).

Then locate your table in the hierarchial list. Right click on table - go to more function - change package assignment.

    Reward if useful.
