roles assigned to a user not visible in ep7.0

Hi,

in ep7.0, when we assign an R3 role (group) to portal roles, then assign the group to a user, the portal roles are not visible against the user. I've searched the forum and OSS but have found nothing so far. Has anyone else come across this problem ?

are perhaps the permissions on the role not set as needed ?

In pcd, mark the role, right click, open -> permissions. Do you find the users (with End-User Flag) here, that shall see the role ?

Hi Andreas,

I think the permissions on the role look fine. The only difference we have from ep6 is the addition of 2 new standard roles - SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL and SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL ( I don't know what they are for). At the moment we have them set to 'none' without the 'end-user' flag being ticked.

In ep6.0, the user's portal roles were visible but in ep7.0, they are not. Could it be that this is just a change to the standard way of doing this between ep6.0 and ep7.0. After all, I suppose, in this case, there is no direct link between the user and the portal roles. the link comes via the R3 role. Maybe someone that has undergone an upgrade from ep6 to ep7 knows the answer to this ?
