I try to connect a business partner, which is maintained via transaction "BP", to a functional Location. All I can find in customizing is setting up a partner determination. In that i can use customer, vendor, employee and some more. But I don't see a way of adding business partners.

Thanks PeteA,

I'm aware of the way the partner determination procedure works. Maybe I was not specific enough. In BP I create a person in role BUP1 (Contact Person). Now the aim is to bring that BUP1 role somehow into the partner petermination pr. In the procedure I can assign a partner type AP (Contact Person). But it looks like BUP1 and AP are not linked. When assinging AP I can only search for persons that are linked to a vendor.

Andreas,

Have a look at user-exit ICSV0008 via transaction SMOD. It allows you to add non-standard parnter types.

The partner determination procedure defined in the IMG will determine which partner types can be assigned to the functional location.
