We need to notify external party when new data is available. Currently we are sending the notification from beforeSave() event, but this is error prone. As the name says, this is before save. The save could be delayed or fail alltogether. What trigger could we use that is invoked _after_ saving has completed?

Hi,

Three options you can choose depending on your business:

1. Standard work flow scenario, configure as: Timing: Scheduled; Event: Create On; Relative Time: After; Once condition occurred, then call a particular action to notify external party. -- the most simple approach but highly system capability dependent.

2. Create internal communication via cloud application studio; -- highly recommended.

3. Set flag on the instance which is trying to save, and create related MDRO to read flagged instance, then schedule back end job based on time interval to notify external party; -- if sending message is not real-time.

Hope this helps.

Sounds good. We are somewhat familiar with internal communication, but can you please elaborate on where exactly would you recommend injecting the code that takes care of remote notification to external party?

Thanks in advance
