What should be used for Imported Spare ?

Question 1 - What are the design principles in general followed for import spares MRP? For domestic: We can follow MRP for All fast moving, Slow moving high critical and Non moving high critical; and MTO for Slow moving low critical.

If we use the same principles for import spares, it is resulting in a very high cost impact on the inventory value due to ROL of 1 allowed in SAP (Which we don't want to change).

Mainly the cost impact is driven by slow moving high critical.

Question 2 - Thinking logically it makes sense not to include any slow moving import spare in MRP. This way we might have more number of spares as MTO.

Question 3 - What are industry practises for import MRP? Which levers are used to determine MRP or MTO? If we use the same levers whihc categories should be in MRP or MTO?
