LDAP Configuration needs anything to be directory services side?

Hi,

I need LDAP Configuration details. But i got some steps about LDAP configuration.

1. Create a new user and assign to superadmin role to that user.

2. Go to inside portal, navigate to UME configuration and change the data source(like Sun One, Microsoft ADS, Novell etc..,) and give servername and port details and save the changes.

This is enough or anything to be done in directory services side? Assume that Microsoft ADS is used, what settings are to be done in LDAP configuration?
