Difference between 'FB01' and 'F-02'

Hi All,

As far as I know, both fb01 and f-02 can be used to create general accounting documents, so my questions is what different them. Why sap provide these tcode with same functionality.

Hi,

Both are the same, but still there is a slight difference here...For F-02, the system will pich the debit posting key by default 40 and for FB01 we need to enter manually both debit and credit posting keys..

The program runs for FB01 foreground and the dat will be stored for both transactions in the same table "BKPF".

Guys,

Thanks for your answers, i'll give you the piont soon. So another problem is that why fb01 is used in background such as BDC commonly. Hope more information on this problem.

Dear Alexandro Miao,

The only difference I can note is that , in F-02, the document type and the posting key are defaulted with "SA" and "40".

Also FB01 is used in many background programs.

Thats it.
