i wanna improve the performence of NW AS.
so
i think it's a good way to adjust the number of work process of AS.
but where to do it?
thanks a lot.
HI..
Before doing so.. You need to know very well abiout the system config you are having at opresent...because if u increase no. of WP they may require lot of memory / disk space e.t.c
You can View the no.of processes using the parameter rdisp/wp_no_btc in rz11.
This parameter gives the count of Back Ground Work process..
Similary you can find for remaining (give a search rdisp/wp* and press F4 in Rz11 screen)
To change Parameters go to RZ10.
Select the instace profile if u wanna change the WOP specific to that instance.and then select Extended maintainance.
Click on change and do the needful changes
Systems needs a restart to apply changes..

Hello,
As you mentioned in the message, you are going to increase the work process to improve the performance of Netweaver system. There are so many statistics you need to check before you increase the number of work processes. For example, good way to start is from ST03N ( workload statistics)--> expert mode, where you can see the response time distribution on a particular date, week or month etc. If you see more than 20% total response time is wait time for a particular task for example DIA, then you can consider increasing the number of dialog processes. Also enough resource should be available in that particular application server. You can montior the memory through ST06 and free available memory field. Increasing the work process will consume memory as well.
Hope this helps
