Delta issues while converting from 3.x to 2004s.

Hi All,

I am converting all the transfer rules, update rules, info packages to DTP. While doing that there are many scenarios where we have data loads like this in 3.x data source --> DSO --> Cube. I created transformation and DTP to load Data Source to DSO and also created transformation and DTP to load from DSO to Cube.

In the DSO to Cube I selected processing mode as 'No Data Transfer, Delta Status in Source;Fetched' and did a delta load from DSO to the Cube before loading any data into the DSO. I expected to see no data transferred but all the data in the PSA got transferred to Cube, which is a duplicate load. I cannot afford this in production as the load volume is too large and how can I handle this scenarion.

I need this info urgently.

Thanks,

Alex(Arthur Samson)

Note : Please don't show the previous links. The reason I have this question is because the answers were not as clear as I could understand. Also there is no previous years senarios. Example 0FI_GL_4 and ongoing deltas, where the whole Fiscal period need to be loaded and cause issues if something got screwed up...

The way the existing load goes 0FI_GL_4 -> DSO->CUBE. If I do any changes at the data source level it is resetting the delta which will affect the R3 table BWOM2_TIMEST table, which is the delta timestamp table for all FI data sources. Good enough to messup the whole company. So please tell me from your experience. It is a serious stuff right now...
