Hi Experts,

We have semimonthly payroll and the salary and fixed wage types proration happens based on payroll area frequency, however the client is asking can we have few wage types proration based on calendar days which is monthly if the employee hired and terminated during mid of the month.

Example:

Case 1 : Employee hire date is 15/10/2017 and his work schedule is 7 days a week, so employee will be paid for one day as its semimonthly payroll ( 01.01.2017 to 15.10.2017)

Case 2: Few fixed wage types from IT0014 needs to prorated based on calendar days (15 to 31 = 17 days)

Please check and advise if there is any solution.

Hi Remi,

Thanks for the reply, but I could not find the details for my query, could you please share the link if you have any?

We have semimonthly payroll and the salary, fixed wage types will be prorated based on the payroll area frequency, however the client is asking for monthly proration for few of wage types IT0014, in case of employee hired and terminated during mid of the month.

We run semimonthly pay periods so the proration factor will only be based on the number of days in the period, not the entire month.

Please let me know if technically possible.?

Thanks in Advance

There are already many discussion threads and documentation on proration, both for Basic Salary (IT0008) and Recurring Payments/Deductions (IT0014).

I think that you should also read on Partial Period Parameters.
