What are the prerequisites to run SOLMAN_SETUP, LMDB, and SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

Hi Experts,

I hope you can clear the confusions in my head about installation/configuration solution manager 7.2.

Using OS WinServer2012R2 and DB Oracle12c, I have installed Solman 7.2 ABAP and JAVA in 1 DB. Using SWPM21 its current SPS is SP2.

The next is post configuration steps right?

I have already installed SAProuter, Apply License, Configured TMS, Run Standard Jobs, Updated the CR content, Configured SLD Data Supplier, and my next configuration is to register my both system abap and java in Tx LMDB but I can't access Tx LMDB upon checking I can't also access Tx SOLMAN_SETUP and Tx SOLMAN_WORKCENTER.

Error: Forbidden 403

I have checked SICF, wd_sise_main_app was already activated.

As for parameters I have only assigned these:

login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

I can't run these tcodes to do mandatory configurations.

Queries:

Did I missed some configurations?

My hostname got no FQDN, Do I really need FQDN to run these Tcodes?

Hello Tan Michael,

I suggest you to upgrade tour system first with new support packs and after you can look in to blogs below for reference.

Thank you

Hi yogesh.patel3,

I have been following your blogs and I'm stucked in step:

under: https://blogs.sap.com/2016/09/13/part-3-sap-solution-manager-72-sr1-sps03-support-pack-stack-03-inst...

Note: If you do not have LMDB configured you need to configure your SAP Solution Manager without installaing SPS03 and perform rest of the steps from ‘ABAP LMDB Push’

with this I assumed that I should configured LMDB first then do the upgrade. Please guide me.

Thanks!

Hello tan.michael,

Ah! Now its clear to me... Sorry for confusion.

Please configure your solution manager system first (solman_setup) and after you can run Maintenance Planner transaction.

In my case I had maintenance optimizer available thats why I was able to upgrade system directly pushing data to SLD. There is a way to do it before configuration - but lets not take that path.

Let me know if you still have any question.

Regards,

Yogesh

Hi yogesh.patel3,

Great! Then I will do as you said. As per checking I can only access the solman_setup in IE of host using this link:

--> https://<hostname>:50001/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_sise_main_app

and I wonder why this link is not working, please see below link:

--> https://<hostname>:50001/sap/public/myssocntl?sap-client=001

I have missing authorizations for j2ee_admin to do the mandatory configurations but I think that easy to research, thanks you're a big help!

Thanks Yogesh, I see so without configuring our FQDN in host have affected our solman configuration.
