Generating PO from Sales Orders automatically

Hi,

Does anybody know how you can set the option 'Purchase Orders' in the Logitics tab of a Sales Order to be checked by default? I would like to set up a system were Sales Orders generate Purchase orders automatically...

Simply put, if your parts all have a dropship warehouse setup as the default, the check box for Purchase Order creation will automatically be set.

Thank you for the feedback, but using Drop Ship is not an option - since serial & batch numbering is required.

For the SQL solution Petr, could you please explain this in more detail? I am not an expert in SQL, so...

Hi,

It is more better to use SDK addon (UI/DI API). You could ask the partner/implementor to develop it and license for the addon. The license is free.

I presume you are aware that the PO Confimation window will automatically Open if your Sales Order is created with a drop ship warehouse.

If it is not a drop ship process, checking the Purchase Order manually is the step you are aware of but you may try what peter is suggested but I am not sure if it is really a good approach as I believe SBO might other entries just beyond checking this.

Modify sp_sbo_transactionnotification stored procedure on your sql databse and in case of adding new order set the option by update of record. Problem is, that direct updates arent allowed from sap... (but it works).
