Release strategy for STO

Hi,

The characteristics we have used for STO is comp.code, and document type. When STO is created, the release strategy is getting triggered., but there is no effect if user later change the qty in the STO, as the qty will be available at line item. We required system to reset the release strategy once the qty get changed. How to attain this?

STO.....there is no Price at Item Level....So Maintaining Release Indicator 4 or 6....doesn't solve the purpose....

Try the following method...

Activate Version Management for Purchase Order...

Create Version Number in your Charecteristics...( Field for the Version Number ...you can get it from CEKKO Table useing SE11)...and include this Charecteristics in your Release Class....

Configure Release Statergy according to your Requirement....

The concept here is.....If you change any thing in STO or any PO....Version Number also gets changes.....So configure release statergy such that Version Number in PO or STO is V0 ..then No release statergy affects.....If it is V1 or Value more than that release should trigger again...

in changeable field enter as 4 and save.

Whenever you try do the changes in P.O after release it

will be blocked.

But 4 stands for the value, and STO will not have any value. I hope you got my query.

Try with 6 and do the test but the release strategy retrigger can workk efficiently if the pricing is involved
