Debugging in ESS

Hi,

I would like to know how to debug in ESS. I do not know where the error exists (user is directed to a default page in ESS when there is any error), so I am not unable to set breakpoints in any of the programs. When I try to set it in my custom webdynpro page, the page does not stop at the breakpoint, so I am guessing that the error happens even before getting into the custom webdynpro page.

Alternatively, is there any logs which I can refer to when there is any error in ESS?

Hello,

you could take a look at the Defaultrace of your Application Server where the WD gets exectuted on. maybe you see something of value there.

Default trace is the best option, Also check the thread dump if any where you ll see the exact information. If you have solution manager life would be simple too..
