I m not geting Field Name in Table maintanance Generator?

Hi all,

i created a ztable.when i m going to add some records to the table,in Table maintanance Generator table on of the column name is not reflected as it is in the Domain.In that place it shows a + Symbol.How can i get that field name?

the + line occurs when you have not maintained all field descriptions for a particular field

Long Description/Short description etc.

If the only one you have maintained is not short enough to display

It shows as a +.

Hi Ravi,

this is because the field descriptions are maintained like that

you can change that

goto SE11>table name->display->utilities->table maintenance generator

double click on the screen generated ->change the field headings on the screen layout>save

Goto Data Element ..... Select the " Field Lable " tab .... Just mention

Short,Medium,Long & Heading .....

Save & Activate the data element ....

and then the table .... and then check .... u won't find the + sign

Hi Friend,

Before Creating Table Maintanence just Activete the DATA ELEMENT ->Give Discreptions and Activate.

it should work .

If you've got directly typed fields then follow Chandrasekhar Jagarlamudi's advice, otherwise follow Anjali's.

Hi,

1) Display Maintenance view ( by typing t.code or by sm30)

2) Go to system -> status -> select screen number

3) u will get into module pool screen

4) Select layout in change mode

5) click on each coloumn and change the text u require
