Separate GL Account for a different Material

Hello Experts,

Current SAP setup has both Caustic and Hydrogen created as Co-Products in the material master with the 03 Account Assignment Group(AAG). This AAG points to GL Account 6000075 (Sales - Co-products) in VKOA which means both Caustic and Hydrogen will be booked under the same GL Account. We may need to book Hydrogen sale under a different GL Account and that would require a different AAG. Do you think if this can be easily achieved without impacting any existing processes/setup in SAP.

Material Group or Material Pricing Group is one option which can be added to your VKOA combination by which, you can differentiate the G/L account and posting made accordingly.

Hi,

You may create a new Material Account Assignemnt group and maintain GL assignment for this combination.

In production server, newly created Acct Asgmnt Grp will have to be added to Hydrogen materials then it will work fine. But, remember that there should not be any billing document for releasing to accounting having Hydrogen materials.
