Dear EWM Gurus,

We have the request to implement a process which is able to build a HU with different packages for one product. The different packages should be stored in different storage types but for stock removal it should be created WTs for all packages.

Example:

Product 1 = Package a -> storage type AA, bin 100

Package b -> storage type BB, bin 150

Package c -> storage type AB, bin 100

When a outbound delivery order is coming to EWM for product 1 EWM should propose the HU with all packages in the different storage type.

Is it possible to implement a standard process which includes all these requests?

Thanks in advance!

Regards Raphael

Hi Raphael,

If you use different packages are different stock keeping units ( alternate unit of measurements ). there is one filed 'ALTME' available in stock removal rules. Try to use this along with the BAdi '.

The list enhancements , you can get in the below path

Hi Raphael,

If you want to store different packages of same product, probably you can achieve that using "Quantity Classification."

Say for example,

ProductA --> PackageA with Qty 100 --> Store in Sto. Type AA

Product B --> PackageB with Qty 80 --> Store in Sto. Type BB etc

Let me know if I understood your query correctly.

Thanks,

Pavan

Hi,

Here is some more addition about quantity classification, you can define quantity classification and assign alternate unit of measurements for that quantity classification.

In your case , you can assign the quantity classification at storage type level, and the same maintain in the storage type search sequence for stock removal strategy.

for Qty Classification:

For assigning with alternate unit of measurement

Hi,

still trying to understand what you really want to do. So you have the material spread over some storage types in the warehouse. But you need the complete quantity for you picking?

Hello

Thank you all for your replies!

I guess my description was not exactly enough. I try to explain my issue with an example:

We get a material (e.g.one kitchen which contains more than one package) from our supplier with only one material number for the whole kitchen. However this material contains more than one package. Now it is not possible to store all packages together at one storage type due to different sizes of the packages. So we have to spread the packages of this one material (kitchen) in different storage types on different bins.

Now I need to know in EWM where are all the packages for this one material number and afterwards for picking I need a information where the warehouse worker has to pick all the packages when he get his picking list for this one material (kitchen).

I hope my description is more helpful now.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

"We get a material (e.g.one kitchen which contains more than one package) from our supplier with only one material number for the whole kitchen. However this material contains more than one package."

And afterwards you want to ship exactly the same packages you get as one delivery together again?

But if you use one material number for all the content in the package, what if you have a second kitchen (as your example) in the warehouse? This is the same material number as the first? Or another material number?

Hi Raphael,

Hope you are well. I believe you are clear about Putaway ( store ) of different Packages in different storage types on different bins and your doubt is regarding picking those different Packages( Picking Warehouse Task with Stock Removal Strategy) if I am not wrong.

Please check the link in the link. Vamshikrishna Srirangam has attached a nice document with config. But he did not use Packspec for stock removal Strategy ( Picking ).If you need , you can achieve quantity removal with Pack spec with different packaging types for picking.

If you still have any doubt,Please let us know.

Thank you and Best Regards,

Ajit
