Training & Event Management Authorisation

Hi All,

At my clients place each user wants to own few business event groups and should not see & change each others buniness event/courses. Is it possible.

for example go to PSV1/PSV2 t.code. You can see whole list of business event groups.

User1 wants to maintain business event groups 1 & 2.

User2 wants to maintain business event groups 3 & 4.

User 1 should not see/change business event groups 3 & 4.

User 2 should not see/change business event groups 1 & 2.

Is it possible, if yes how? can we restrict by OM number range or so. Thanks.

    Dear,

As per my knowledge you can not restrict the “Training Catalogue” view access, what I see is logic .. because at the end any catalogue should be viewed for all, but the registration it self it can be restricted.

Also keep in mind its also open from ESS side as it will call PSV transactions, you can expand and view all the trainings.

We have did something here that it could work with you, you can develop a Function Module, create a Custom Table with employee user name with their department, then while accessing some specific transactions then it will restrict for the change.

I hope this information will help, this what i know .. maybe others can add, ..

    Regards

    Hi All,

Just to confirm we are not using any ESS, HR users just key in information in the back end manually or via customised BDC program. Can you tell me which function module I need to enhance.

I also want to restrict on OM side like PP01, PP02 etc T.codes as well.

I prefer user1 can create B.event/course range from 10000000 to 19999999 and user2 can create B.event/course range from 20000000 to 29999999 etc... Thanks in advance.

Authorisation Objekt PLOG and P_ORGIN are involved.

The PLVAR field specifies which plan version(s) the user is authorized to access.

The OTYPE field specifies which object types the user is authorized to access.

The INFOTYP field specifies which infotypes the user is authorized to access.

The SUBTYP field specifies which subtypes of given infotypes the user is authorized to access.

The ISTAT field specifies the planning status in which the user is authorized to access information.

The PPFCODE field specifies the processing mode for which the user has authorization (Display, Change and so on).

      I hope it´s useful

    Hi Sarita,

In PSV2 menu there is a concept of Set Access on the menu bar, try that if it helps you.

You have to do that for each user.
