I am new to BI.I got one scenario like adding 2 new user defined InfoObjects into the cube along with standard business content infoobjects which i delivered with BCT InfoCube (eg:0PAPA_C01).Is it possible to use the same infocube enhance with 2 new InfoObject?. how can we customize the standard iinfocube?. is this recommanded?. or we need to use BCT infocube as a templet for zcube?.
Yes it is possible to customize. It can be done the same way you do with Z objects lest you should have proper authorizations. But it is not at all recommendded. Make a copy of that and make necessary enhancements.
I really appreciate your answer.This is my confusion.But if possible can you please give me the steps to enhance the standard BCT InfoCube,eventhought it is not recommended,but for knowledge purpose i like to know the procedure.can you and other gurus plz reply with steps.
First, you need to have proper authorizations and keys for editing the BCT objects. Once you have them you can include the required objects in the entire flow. Even then this is not at ll recommended. Because there will be some built in functionalities for BCT objects which needs lot of work about and sometimes disturbs the business. So pls proceed by copying the BCT objects and customize them.
As said in the previous posts we can enhance the standard cubes, but is not recommonded, Better u make a copy of the stardard cube and do the necessary changes to this new cube.
you can't able to do the customization in standard infocube model. so create new infocube with copy from option as from your standard infocube. then edit the cube with your required fields.
