Asset - Year End Closing Error

Hi experts,

My company new fiscal year started 01.04.2008. I have done these and error

1- AJRW - New fiscal year = 2008

Error - Fiscal year change in co code possible only after year end closing 2006

2- AJAB - Fiscal year to close = 2007

Error - Close fiscal year 2006 for company code first

3- OAAQ - 2005

How am I suppose to make it success to year 2008?

Hi

As per the AA functionality it allows u to keep open 2 financial years at a time.

as u said in oaaq its showing 2005. that means in your system

2005 is the last closed fiscal year.

so it implies that 2006 and 2007 is still open.

now when u try to open 2008 it wont allow. it expects from you to close the year 2006 first.

for closing 2006 you need to check whether depreciation is posted for all periods and there are no more adjustment left.

than go to AJAB and close year 2006 first. without closing 2006 it wont allow you to close 2007.

After closing 2006 u can go and open 2008 without closing 2007 also if u wish...

Hi all,

I have tried to close year 2006 using AJAB but it no changed at OAAQ. Means my year still open for 2006 & 2007 according to your feedback. Any place that I missed?

Hi Eizaa,

I am also at the same error, It was giving me the "close fiscal year 2006 for company code 1234 first"

The message class for this mesasge is AU 082.

Kindly help me please its urgent because unless it is closed it will not allow to even see the reports.

Hi all,

Detail on my test run of AJAB to close 2006, Close carried out - NO, Other error - NO.

Actual run of AJAB, no change in OAAQ, remain year 2005.

Have tried to look at SM37 for a status of RAJABS00, no update.

Anybody can tell what was happening to my system?

i have one error for year end closing,

The user was perfoming AJAB and it was throwing error saying that "TRANSACTION NOT COMPLETELY PERIODICALLY POSTED" They have posted depreciation for all the periods.

Could you pleae help me out

If any adjustments or additions are left out the system throughs error...

this error means there is something missing which system makes out... some adjsutment or some addtioion like that,,, so jsut go to T.Code AFABN and Repeat Run.. so it will update all the additons and adjustments...

Another possibility is tthat when u runnig the derpeciaition run due to some error it may be stoped or not posted correctly

u can go to AFABN and carry out resart. run,,,,

Hi,

In SAP you can keep open Asset year only for 2 years.

Now 2006 and 2007 are open in your case.

So to open 2008 you have to close 2006 that will make 2007 and 2008 open

First carry out a year-end closing for fiscal year 2006 in company code.

hi,

your fiscal year 2006 is open for asset. First close 2006 through AJAB and then open New year 2008. after closing 2006, check in OAAQ , it should be 2006.
